The pianist Uwe Brandt studied piano with Hans Clasen, Alexander Sellier (Saarbrücken), Monique Haas (Paris) and Jean Claude van den Eynden (Brussels). He graduated with distinction as a concert pianist from the Conservatoire royale de Bruxelles. The scholarship holder of the "Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes" is lecturer for piano and instrumental correpetition at the Hochschule für Musik Saar in Saarbrücken. With master classes and CD productions, among others with Moshe Aron Epstein, Joshua Epstein, Peter Hörr, Ramon Jaffé, Manuel Fischer Diskau, Jone Kaliunaite, Tuncay Yilmaz, David Todd, Hande Özüyrek and performances as soloist and chamber musician at important festivals in Germany and abroad, Uwe Brandt gained an excellent reputation as pedagogue and pianist.

Press comments such as "...he solves technical problems almost with relish, with an artistry that makes not only listening but also watching a pleasure", testify to the esteem in which his playing is held. Since 2003, he has been the director of the Sulzbach-/Fischbachtal Music School and founded the "Meisterkonzerte Sulzbach" series, which is highly regarded in the Saarland.

Since 2014, he has also been responsible as an advisor in the musical-cultural area of the municipality of Nalbach. In the summer of 2015, the "International Summer Academy for Piano -Akademus" initiated by him started.

In 2020, a new series started with the Chamber Music Days Sulzbach, which continues the tradition of the Master Concerts and enriches the chamber music scene in Saarland.
