After the great success in 2019, from 14th to 22th August 2021 the International Violin Academy will take place for the second time at the Bavarian Music Academy Hammelburg. The historic Franciscan monastery building, which was completely renovated in 2017-19 and converted into an academy building that can meet even the highest demands, offers the perfect ambience.
In addition to the faculty members from the previous year who will all be teaching again this year, further internationally renowned pedagogues and interpreters representing different violin schools will join this year’s faculty.
Contrasting the master classes usually offered , the Violin Academy Hammelburg offers a wide range of additional content beyond the individual lessons. Important educational, interpretative and artistic aspects are conveyed in the form of group lessons, seminars, round tables etc. In addition, practical experience can be gained thanks to internal or, if appropriately qualified, public performance options in acoustically different spatial situation.
The 2021 faculty members unites a special commitment, indeed the passionately felt vocation to work as violin teachers. With this background, it is of particular concern to them to be able to share their profound artistic knowledge and many years of teaching experience with talented young artists of the younger generations. They will be supported by Alexei Petrov, Eun Jung Son and Matthias Rein on the piano.
