After training at the Mittenwald violin making school, which she graduated with honors, and several years of apprenticeship in various workshops, Anneke Degen passed the master's examination in Hamburg in 2002 and founded her own workshop. For over 15 years, she is serving her knowledge together with her staff for musicians from all over the world. Her clients include not only renowned musicians and orchestras but also music institutions and foundations. Since 2007, she has been every year invited to the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland as "Violinmaker in Residence" and, since 2009, regularly at the "Real Filharmonia de Galicia" in Spain. In addition to restorations and sound settings, the focus of her work is on the construction of new master instruments.
