Ms Iltcheva is the Concertmaster of Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Ms Iltcheva is the assistant to Professor Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University where she worked on a Post Doctorate Degree.
Borislava holds prizes from several National and International Competitions such as "Closter Shöntal" Interantional Violin Competition, MTNA Chamber Musik Competition, LSU Deans Concerto Competition, "Saverio Mercadante" International Competition and others. Borislava has an active schedule as a soloist and chamber mnusician. She has been featured as a soloist with the Louisiana Sinfonietta, Baton Rouge Symphony and Acadiana Symphony, Thessalonica Camerata, Chengdu Symphony Orchestra, among many others. She has performed recitals troughout Europe, Asia, Latin America ant the United States. Highlights from Ms Iltcheva's performances include an appearance in Carnegie Hall in New York in May, 2009 and in 2012 as well as a two-week European tour with recitals in Greece and Croatia. Recently, she performed several recitals and vondertos with orchestra in Brazil. Upcoming events include performances of the Beethoven Romances with orchestra in Peru and a chamber music recital in Carnegie Hall. She will also be part of the faculty of the Esmerelda Festival in Nicaragua and she will perform in a two-week concert tour of Poland and Germany this summer. She will also return to Brazil this summer for concerts and masterclasses. In 2024 Ms. Iltcheva will be recording Vaughan Williams's "Lark Ascending" for a CD featuring music for violin and organ.
Ms Iltcheva joined the faculty at the University at Southern Mississippi as an Adjunct Faculty in 2021 where she taught violin to graduate and undergraduate students. IN 2023 Dr. Iltcheva accepted the position as Assistant Professor of Violin at USM. She in in demand as a teacher interantionally. Ms Iltcheva frequently teaches masterclasses around the world, including a residence in Southern France and Canada. Her students have won numerous prizes nationally and interantionally, including First Prize at the Rudolpho Lipitzer International Violin Competition. She has given masterclasses in the United States, Brazil, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Greece and China.
