With this in mind, we are pleased to be able to give the presentation and workshop as part of your academy, and to support the academy's competition with a cash prize and a contingent of strings.
Based on the presentation "The Art of Choosing the Right String", we aim to provide participants essential information on the structure of different types of strings, as well as to detailed explanations to the materials used in string technology and the resulting influence on sound. Terms such as string tension and the balance between individual strings will be explained in detail in connection with the associated tonal effects and made practically applicable with many examples and recommendations.
Furthermore, the causes and solutions for wolf tone, whistling E strings and the reasons of poor response or inadequate dynamics will be covered.
The presentation aims to provide participants solutions to existing problems and discuss the importance of the string. In fact, a few minutes are often enough to significantly improve performance with appropriate strings.
In the workshop, musicians will have the opportunity to practically experience how much one can improve the sound of the instrument by changing the balance or simply the type of string. Here we will also deal extensively with the subject of E strings and their enormous influence on the overall sound of the instrument. There will be enough test strings available to try different products also on a single instrument. This is also very interesting for the spectators, who can experience the changes live.
